Terms & Conditions

Last updated: June 2026  ·  ABN 45 442 699 290

These Terms and Conditions govern the tutoring services provided by Ignite Tutoring ("we", "us", "our") to clients ("you", "the family"). By booking or attending a session, you agree to these terms.

1. Services

Ignite Tutoring provides online academic tutoring for primary school students (Kindergarten to Year 6) in subjects including Reading, Writing, Mathematics, and Spelling & Phonics. Sessions are available as one-on-one or small group (maximum 6 students) online sessions.

We reserve the right to decline or discontinue services where we determine the arrangement is not in the best interest of the student or our educators.

2. Bookings

Session bookings are confirmed upon receipt of payment or written agreement. By booking, you acknowledge that a session slot has been reserved for your child and agree to our Cancellation Policy.

We will make every effort to accommodate your preferred session times, but availability cannot be guaranteed until confirmed.

3. Payment

  • Session fees are due at the time of booking or prior to the session commencing, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • Session packs must be paid in full before the first session in the pack.
  • We accept payment via bank transfer or other methods communicated at the time of booking.
  • Outstanding fees may result in sessions being paused until the account is settled.
  • If you wish to discontinue tutoring before a session pack is complete, a refund for genuinely unused sessions will be provided upon written request. Sessions forfeited under the Cancellation Policy (late cancellation or no-show) are not considered unused and are not refundable.

4. Cancellations & Rescheduling

All cancellations and rescheduling requests are governed by our Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms and Conditions.

5. Student Conduct & Readiness

Parents and guardians are responsible for ensuring their child is ready, settled, and in a suitable environment for each session. We ask that:

  • Students arrive (or log on) on time with any required materials
  • In-person sessions take place in a quiet, distraction-free space
  • Students are respectful toward their educator at all times

Where persistent conduct issues arise that affect the quality of sessions, we will raise this with the family directly.

6. Online Sessions

All sessions are conducted online. Families are responsible for ensuring a stable internet connection and a device with a functioning camera and microphone. A parent or guardian must be present in the home during all sessions with a minor. We recommend a quiet space where the student can focus without interruption.

For group sessions, students are expected to engage respectfully with other participants. Disruptive behaviour that affects other students may result in the session being paused or the student being removed from the group.

7. Health & Safety

If your child is unwell and unable to participate in their session, please notify us as early as possible so the session can be rescheduled in accordance with our Cancellation Policy. Our educators are also committed to not running sessions if they themselves are unwell.

8. Photography & Recording

Sessions may not be recorded by either party without prior written consent. We will never photograph, film, or publish images of students without explicit parental consent.

9. Outcomes

While we are committed to providing high-quality, personalised tutoring, we cannot guarantee specific academic outcomes. Progress depends on many factors including student effort, consistency of attendance, and engagement. Our role is to provide the best possible support for your child's learning journey.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Ignite Tutoring's liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount paid for the session(s) in question. We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Western Australia.

If you have any questions about these terms, please call or text 0494 743 539 or email admin@ignite-tutoring.com.au before booking.
